Covid-19 Procedures

As of Tuesday 5th January, we are following all rules relating to the current 'lockdown' in England.  This means our Workshop and Trimshop are open for business and operating normally.  However, our physical showroom is closed and we cannot arrange viewings or test drives of our cars, (but we can operate a 'virtual showroom' - see below for more details).

We are following all the appropriate government guidelines to ensure we are properly looking after the health and safety of our customers and staff.  A summary of how the different areas of our dealership are currently operating is as follows:

Workshop and Trimshop

These are fully operational and working as normal for routine servicing, repairs, MOTs, upgrades and restoration work.

We will sanitise any vehicles before working on them; use protective coverings on seats, steering wheels and other areas as appropriate; and clean and sanitise/disinfect all vehicles and keys, before handing them back to their owners.

All work is carried out on an appointment basis to ensure we can manage the numbers of visitors to our dealership.  On arrival, we ask visitors to wear a face mask and maintain 2 metre social distancing.  Hand sanitiser is available, as are disposable face masks if you forget to bring your own.  We ask that payments are made by card or bank transfer.

Due to a lack of space and the need to follow social distancing rules, we are only able to allow 1 person, or a couple from the same household, to wait in our showroom (customer waiting area) whilst their vehicle is being worked on.

Showroom

Although our showroom is closed to visitors, we are allowed to operate a 'virtual' showroom and sell cars from a distance.

To this end, the 'cars for sale' pages of our website provide full descriptions, plenty of photos and also videos.  But if you'd like more information about any of our cars to help you make that decision as to whether a car might be right for you or not, we're happy to provide as much additional information as you would like by phone or by email.

Then if for any car you'd like additional photos, a personalised video concentrating on particular areas, or a walkaround video call via Zoom, then just let us know. Our aim is to provide all the information you need to make an informed decision.

If you decide you would like to buy one of our cars, then we are allowed to offer 2 different services.  These are:

'CLICK AND COLLECT'

We require a £500 deposit to reserve a car. It will then be put through our workshop for final inspection and service and a new MOT (if applicable).

We then ask that the car is collected from our premises within 2 weeks of the deposit being placed.

Full balance of payment is required on or before collection, but should the car be not what you expected when you see it for the first time (you can also take it for a short test drive) then we will offer a full refund of all money paid.

The car will be available for collection from our Workshop Service area, it will have been fully cleaned and sanitised, and we will do a socially distanced handover.

As the handover and demonstration of controls, will be briefer than our 'normal' handover, we will also have supporting videos to help out, e.g. a demonstration of how to put up and lower a hood. And of course, we'll be happy to follow up with phone or email conversations on any areas you're subsequently not sure on.

'CLICK AND DELIVER'

We require a £500 deposit to reserve a car. It will then be put through our workshop for final inspection and service and a new MOT (if applicable).

We will arrange to deliver the car to you within 2 weeks of the deposit being placed.

For the delivery, we will contribute 50% of the cost of delivery, or £250, whichever is less. Deliveries are carried out by covered transporter by a specialist transport company who know us and our type of cars very well.

Full balance of payment is required before delivery, but should the car be not what you expected when you see it for the first time (you can also take it for a short test drive) then we will offer a full refund of all money paid with the exception of the delivery charge.

Once you have taken delivery of the car, then we can talk you through by phone, email or video call via Zoom, anything you'd like to know about the car and how to use and enjoy it. Not quite as good as one of our normal, face to face handovers, but we don't think you'll be too disappointed with what we can do from a distance!

We will also have supporting videos to help out with some of the potentially trickier areas, e.g. how to quickly and correctly put up or take down a hood.

Parts

Our Parts Department is able to supply parts by mail order, but unfortunately we cannot supply parts to walk-in visitors.
