£28,5001972 Lotus Elan Sprint DHC

Only 3 owners, History folder with invoices dating back to 1972. Mileage is believed to be genuine and backed up by the history folder. A very original specification car.

Although the side decals are missing the paintwork is largely believed to be original. It has some micro blistering, cracking and fading, but is generally presentable.

It has Dellorto carbs and being a Sprint has the big valve engine.

This car is advertised as a project requiring some work and although it passed an MOT in August, it is not currently roadworthy and will need to be collected by trailer. For a list of the works we have identified, please click on the ‘More Details’ heading below.

Our project cars do not come with a warranty as they are bought on the basis work is required. Although we do our best to identify and accurately describe any faults, a prospective purchaser must accept other faults may exist and will only come to light once renovation work has started. We always advise a purchaser views a project in person to ensure they are comfortable with the level of work likely to be needed.

This genuine Elan Sprint is ideal for the home mechanic as the work required is fairly straightforward – see ‘More Details’ section below. Alternatively, we can carry out the work needed to get the car to our normal showroom condition and the price would then increase to £32,750. At this price, and once the work is done, the car would come supplied with our normal warranty.
