This 1.8 litre chrome bumper model has been owned by the same keeper since 1994.
The car is supplied with spare keys and an extensive history folder with plenty of invoices and photos of work undertaken.
Photographic record of extensive underside restoration carried out over a number of years.
The car has had new floors, sills, boot floor, inner wing and arch repairs, new lower quarter panels and rear chassis legs.
Suspension was rebuilt in 1999. Compression test in August 2020 showed 150 psi across all cylinders.
Clutch replaced in 2000
Most of the mechanical parts have been replaced. Silicone brake and clutch fluid fitted.
The bad points include:
Since fuel tank was fitted car runs rough
Overdrive has stopped working
Windscreen cracked. New seal provided
Windscreen surround requires welding
Repainted in 1997. Paintwork is rough or has 'character'
Chrome is average
New seat covers fitted but passenger side has minor mouse damage
This MGB GT which is MOT and tax exempt deserves saving as so much work has been completed and documented.
It is a car we have taken in as a part exchange.
It will be sold as a project requiring work and as such, no warranty is given. It is not suitable to be driven and requires collection by trailer.
We would ask a prospective purchaser to come and view the car and then assess whether it is a project which is for them or not.
